I mean, I could be wrong, because my dad did suddenly die of cancer, and a few days before, he was like, “Man, am I tired of the stuff on my iPod.  I wish I had some new music!”  But people saying stuff like the above is the worst, because how can you even make an argument like that? Isn’t it equally likely that when you’re a rotting body in the ground, you’re gonna be like, “Wow, I kinda wish I had spent more time with the stuff that I loved, instead of wearing myself out on some perpetual snipe hunt because of an arbitrary asshole notion that privileges the new”?  The only things you’re gonna regret when you die are the things you wanted to do but didn’t, so if you want to listen to the same song over and over again for the rest of your life, do it.

I hope that when Will Sheff is dying he either regrets or even appreciates that at some point in his life he could flippantly use “die of cancer” and “get hit by a car” as interchangeable with some abstract notion of death in the service of a facile point about his own blinkered vision of “taste acquirement.” I mean, just, fuck this guy so much I can’t even. Anyway, “fuck you, you’re lucky to be alive” is about the worst thing I can imagine saying to anyone for any reason ever.
