Dr. Luke/Max Martin are (presumably) working on Katy Perry 2.0, mixed with some Lady GaGa for good measure of bridge-burning amongst…y’know, me. So here comes Kesha (That Girl Who Sang on That Flo Rida Track), just signed to RCA, set to release a Luke/Martin-produced alb this year.
Something a little disappointing is happening to these two over the past two years or so, I think — ironic that the Matrix’s 2004 post-peak “solo” album (featuring Katy Perry, natch!) just came out this year, too, because I think that Luke/Max are kind of heading toward Matrix-style hacky played-out-ness. ‘Course Max himself is a resilient fellow, having successfully surfed about four separate zeitgeists in one decade to remain a fairly dominant/important producer. But I’m starting to fear what the next year or so of Max/Luke might bring us.
Don’t know what to make of Kesha musicwise — on her MySpace, she sings “This Love,” which sounds much better when the Veronicas do it (did she write it or cover it or what?). [EDIT: Ah, so K Cerbert is KESHA: she wrote “This Love” with V’s cowriter dude Toby Gad.] “Backstabber” hits the Katy Perry mark, “Chain Reaction” and “Boots and Boys” heading perilously toward GaGa, though I guess we’ll need to wait until we see how she interacts with interviewers to see whether or not sound/image actually sync up with that one. She also has an, er, interesting blog. MINI-MILEY CONTROVERSY ALERT!!!!

so i was hiking behind this asian couple yesterday… minding my own biznazz and then this little asian man started farting.
everywhere.
like out and about. no shame. and i am like under 10 feet downwind from this dude and so … im slightly taken back but mostly impressed at how he DOESNT GIVE A FUCK . lol. but im kinda grossed out honestly. i am , like, right behind this dude.
so what do i do? i laugh. out loud. kindof for a long time. i mean this asian man is farting all over me.
and then…
he looks at me like I’M soooo rude.
for laughing.
cuz he’s farting on me.
do asian people not think farting is funny?
someone. please answer this pressing question….
