First thought upon reading Tom’s Wordle (based on his AC post): “If I knew what “punos” meant, maybe I’d finally “get” Animal Collective! But that’s not accurate. Sung Tongs is still one of my favorite albums (yes, I caved and am organizing my Pfork ballot — Sung Tongs is somewhere in the 30-40 range). I’d put it in the “emotional” category, I suppose — except it’s way closer to the kinds of emotions that Ke$ha stirs in me. Lots of “nyah nyah” and weirdness.
