I’m mixed up. So what? (Yeah, you want me so you’re messed up, too.)

I stand by everything I say about Tumblr being a terrible place to track and continue conversations (due to the limits of the platform, not the limits of the conversationalists). But occasional traction is better than nothing. And hey, maybe I don’t have the ideas or the energy to sustain a parallel conversation on a more comment-friendly platform right now anyway.

I’m considering doubling down on Rock Roundtable, especially since One Week One Band seems to contain the best music writing in the universe right now. I was really pleased with the first results there in January, and I hate that something as petty and inconsequential as IRL responsibilities kept me away from doing another one until now. Group blogging is one of the few Tumblr features that seems to work a lot easier (if people are already on Tumblr) than other sites.

So hey, let’s just open it up. THIS WEEK (yes THIS WEEK, as in STARTING TUESDAY THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW) let’s do a Rock Roundtable week about NOT-MEN. I will start us off with “the Not-Men currently hovering in my Top Ten” or some such, but since I’ve paid approximately three iotas of attention to music this year I’d prefer other people to do all the work for me to chime in.
