The Civil Wars are likely appearing with Taylor Swift. Chris Brown seems to be in the “douchebag segment” (Chris Brown, Deadmau5, Foo Fighters, David Guetta, and Lil Wayne), which should but probably was not going to include Bon Iver.
Maybe they wanted Diana Krall to play something with him? Maybe it was Nicki and he was pissed she mispronounced his name at the nomination? Or did he say “fuck you a little bit” to Paul McCartney or Bruce Springsteen?
