Yes. I was terrible at it.
My mom was an equestrian and my sister rode until my mom passed away in 1992. I used to hang out in the stables and marvel at horses and drink 50-cent sodas. Once I spooked a horse intentionally because I was interested in what might happen if I threw a leaf in front of it. The girl who was riding the horse (a family friend) was less amused, but luckily no one was hurt.
If I rode a horse AGAIN, I would likely still be terrible. Anything more than walking freaks me out (I think I braved a five-second trot once, or something).
